There are various methods available for paying rates.
Cash, eftpos or cheque payments.
Cash, Eftpos or cheque payments can be made at the Waimate District Council office on Queen Street, Waimate between 8.00am and 4.30pm weekdays. Cheques can also be addressed to: P O Box 122, Waimate.
Telephone and Interent Banking
This method of payment enables you to pay your rates from home. When paying your rates, please use your valuation roll number as a reference number.
Direct Debit or Automatic Payment
Direct Debit is an option that grants Council the authority to debit your bank account the due amount on the last date for payment. Automatic payments are a system that allows you to make pay your rates automatically from your bank account. Payments can be made weekly, fornightly, monthly, quarterly or annually. Both these options ensure that rates are paid on time and you can request a form from the rates office.
