Boil Water Notice - Waikakahi Rural Water Scheme

All consumers on the Waikakahi Rural Water Scheme are reminded to continue to boil all drinking water.

A recent monitoring sample has shown low levels of chlorine in the treated water. This has resulted in an E.coli transgression and is attributed to the recent rain event.

Council advises a rolling boil of at least a minute for all water used for drinking, food preparation, and personal use, such as cleaning teeth.

Please also inform all staff, tenants and holiday visitors on your property of this reminder.
