Water Schemes Supply Update
HOOK WAITUNA NORTH: The scheme is back on, however a BOIL WATER NOTICE is in place due to the deterioration of water quality related to the rain event and we strongly advise all consumers to boil water used for drinking, food preparation and personal use, such as cleaning teeth.
HOOK WAITUNA SOUTH: Operating as normal. Connections in the southern portion of the Hook Waituna water supply that receive water from the Urban treatment plants and are not affected by the boil water notice for the northern part of the scheme.
LOWER WAIHAO & WAIKAKAHI EAST: The scheme is back on, however a BOIL WATER NOTICE is in place, and we strongly advise all consumers to boil water used for drinking, food preparation and personal use, such as cleaning teeth.
WAIKAKAHI: The scheme is still off due to unacceptable source water quality. Please CONSERVE WATER. We would suggest essential use only where possible as this scheme has been off for an extended period of time. Checking your tank level is advised.

WAIMATE URBAN: Operating as normal.
OTAIO MAKIKIHI: Operating as normal.
CANNINGTON MOTUKAIKA: Operating as normal. A reminder to boil water used for drinking, food preparation and personal use, such as cleaning teeth.
For those on a boil water notice, Council advises a rolling boil of at least a minute for all water used for drinking, food preparation, and personal use, such as cleaning teeth, until further notice.
If required, you can obtain water for drinking and cooking from 26 Studholme Street, Waimate (tap located on street boundary).
Please also inform all staff or tenants on your property of this notice and your neighbours.
