'Onesie' Day at Waimate District Council

Today, Waimate District Council staff had a laugh at themselves and wore Onesies to work to raise money in support of the 2017 Waimate Community Christmas Dinner.
Staff that chose not to wear Onesies were fined $5 and others made a gold coin donation for the charity.
Rev Indrea Alexander, who is the coordinator of the Community Christmas Dinner joined Council staff for morning tea; together with Mayor Rowley who turned up wearing a bright yellow dog Onesie.
CEO Stuart Duncan commented that activities like this are important for staff moral and mental health awareness, as well as raising funds for a great local cause
A total of $455.00 was raised.
