PERMANENT BOIL WATER NOTICE REMINDER FOR WAIKAKAHI RURAL WATER SCHEME

2 February 2018

Dear Waikakahi Rural Water Scheme consumers

With the current rainfall in the Waikakahi catchment, the Waimate District Council would like to remind all consumers on the Waikakahi Rural Water Scheme to continue boiling all drinking water.

Council advises a rolling boil of at least a minute for all water used for drinking, food preparation, and personal use, such as cleaning teeth.

Please also inform all staff and tenants on your property of this reminder.

Council staff continue to work on upgrading the Cannington-Motukaika, Waikakahi and Waihaorunga Rural Water Schemes to comply with the Drinking Water Standards for New Zealand.

For up to date information please see the Waimate District Council website: www.waimatedc.govt.nz . For questions, please phone 03-689-0000.

N.B. This does not affect the Lower Waihao Rural Water Scheme.
