Notice is hereby given that pursuant to the provisions
of Section 22.2 of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977
the following fire season is in force until further
notice.

Lichen Spraying Notice
The Waimate District Council will be spraying lichen on
Waimate township footpaths using a non-toxic product,
starting Monday 23 January

The fund is open to all organisations not qualifying for funding under Council Sports Fund, SPARC Rural Travel Fund and Creative New Zealand Fund. Criteria and information refer to website.

COUNCIL 2011 CIVIC AWARDS
Ratepayers, Residents, Clubs, Organisations etc are invited to submit nominations for Councils Civic Awards. The awards will recognise persons that have carried out significant and meritorious community service within the Waimate District.
Application forms, criteria and further information are available from John Larcombe at the Waimate District Council during normal office hours.
Applications close on Friday 10th February 2012.

Water Conservation Measures for Summer
Waimate Urban water consumers are reminded that water conservation measures come into effect Thurs 1 December and will continue until further notice.
Properties with odd street / rapid numbers can water on odd numbered calendar days during daylight hours.
Properties with even street / rapid numbers can water on even numbered calendar days during daylight hours.
Watering in the early morning or the evening is the most beneficial time. Monitoring of the water restrictions will be carried out by Council staff.
If you notice any water leaks or wastage please phone Council.
