Boil Water: Reminder for Cannington-Motukaika, Waikakahi & Waihaorunga

The Waimate District Council is reminding all consumers on the Cannington–Motukaika, Waikakahi and Waihaorunga Rural Water Schemes to continue boiling all drinking water.
Council advises a rolling boil of at least a minute for all water used for drinking, food preparation, and personal use, such as cleaning teeth.
Please also inform all staff, visitors and tenants on your property of this reminder.
Council is currently upgrading the Cannington–Motukaika and Waihaorunga water schemes with end-point treatment and investigating options for the Waikakahi water scheme to ensure compliance with the drinking water legislation. Boil water notices will be in place until these projects are complete.
