Rural Policing Consultation - Make a submission

Council wants to thank everyone who showed up at the public meeting today around the proposed changes to rural policing.

Council has made a submission regarding the changes and their impacts on the Waimate District. You can find it HERE. You're welcome to use parts of it for your own submission.

It is important that each one of us makes a submission and have our voices heard.

The consultation period has been extended until 5pm on Monday 18 August.

To make a submission, send an email to canterbury.review@police.govt.nz

You can bring in written or printed submissions to Council reception or library at 125 Queen Street, Waimate before 4pm on Monday 18 August 2025. Council will submit these on your behalf.
