Notice of decision not to fill extraordinary vacancy

Waimate District Council gives notice under section 119 of the Local Electoral Act 2001 that Council has resolved not to fill the extraordinary vacancy following the passing of Pareora-Otaio-Makikihi Ward Councillor Tom O’Connor. The position will remain vacant until the upcoming triennial local election on Saturday 11 October 2025.
