Proposal to Close a Section of Manchesters Road: 6 December 2026

Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Waimate District Council, for the purpose of permitting Waimate 50 Motorsport Inc. to hold the Waimate 1/8 Mile Sprint, proposes to close a section of the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated below.

• Manchesters Road: From approximately 53 Manchesters Road to just past the intersection with Slaughteryard Road and Mitchells Road.
• Sunday 6 December 2026, 8 am to 5 pm

Any person wishing to object to the proposed closure is called upon to lodge their objection and the grounds thereof in writing by Wednesday 11 November 2026, either at Waimate District Council 125 Queen Street, Waimate or by email to roading@waimatedc.govt.nz.
