Council’s annual road resealing programme will take place from early February for a period of three to four weeks.
Resealing roads is an annual activity to keep our roading network in good shape. Just like the paint on your house, the surface of a road breaks down over time and starts to let water in. The ideal time to reseal is just before any damage occurs, so while the road may still look in good condition, resealing keeps it that way. Minor repairs are carried out during the reseal such as filling cracks and potholes.
Please observe the speed limit when the resealing is taking place, keep children and pets away from the new seal and avoid walking on it.
