Local Election 2025 Results
A total of 2,954 people (53.21% of all eligible voters) voted in our local elections. Craig Rowley was re-elected as Mayor. Full results are listed here.
Te Akatarawa Road Rockfall Response
On 26 July, a significant rockfall occurred approximately 2km from the Aviemore Dam, blocking Te Akatarawa Road and prompting an urgent response from our roading team.
Residents’ Survey Results Positive
The latest residents’ survey shows strong support for Council and satisfaction within the community. The independent survey, carried out by Key Research earlier this year, gathered feedback from 405 residents.
Creative Communities Grants Awarded
One club and one individual received grants from Creative New Zealand’s Creative Communities Scheme, with a total of $4,229.90 awarded.
