Council invites applications for financial assistance from the Creative Communities Scheme. Clubs, groups, organisations and individuals can apply for the grants, which are funded by Creative NZ. To be eligible, your creative arts project must take place within the Waimate District, and it must be completed within a year of the funding being approved.
The type of projects that can get funding include performances, workshops, exhibitions and creative works. If you have an idea for a project that supports community involvement in the creative arts, engages young people in artistic endeavours or creates cultural diversity in the arts, be sure to apply.
We do not apply a dollar limit to applications, but as a guide, most projects funded are below $2,000. A project completion report must be completed for any previous funding before a new application is made.
