Council invites applications for financial assistance from the Creative Communities Scheme. Clubs, groups, organisations and individuals can apply for the grants, which are funded by Creative NZ. To be eligible, your creative arts project must take place within the Waimate District, and it must be completed within a year of the funding being approved.
The type of projects that can get funding include performances, workshops, exhibitions and creative works. If you have an idea for a project that might support community involvement in the arts, engage young people in the arts or create cultural diversity in the arts – be sure to apply and tell us more.
We do not apply a dollar limit to applications, but as a guide, most projects funded are below $2,000. A project completion report must be completed for any previous funding before a new application is made.
